Your posts are very uplifting. As I have learned that emotions are part of our nature. Negative emotions such as anger, hate, greed etc. causes unwanted problems for us. The biggest problem is not the negative emotions which come and go on their own but our acts, which we do when we are caught unaware in the emotions. I suggest you learn Yoga of Breath (www.artofliving.org) and write about your experiences in the course. I learned it and it changed my life. I learned a lot about my connection with the nature.

Hello Jay,
I am 42 years old.
I connected with your article, ‘Respect – Is kindness your weakness’. I am now changing. For years, I was happy to help others and gradually others were happy to use me…
7 years back, I quit my job, and returned to an academic institution. To continue to teach further, I am required to get a PhD.
The problem I face in getting a PhD is writing. I am just plain scared. During my 14 years of work experience, before i joined academics, I wrote emails and short official notes, but never faced any shortcomings. But now, publishing 20-30 pages of Journal articles is an aesome job to me. I have read all the material on the net available on WRITING, but to no avail. I think I have read so much on writing, that I may write a book on writing, BUT ONLY IF I WRITE.
So please help me in your characteristic style, to move from WRITER’s BLOCK to becoming a prolific, no-fear guy.
Thanks and with regards,
Vivek

Jay, what’s happened!?
I’ve following your blog for almost a year now, and you have incredibly powerful comments to make (wish I could come with that sort of inspirational and unique stuff).
But there’s been nothing for a couple of months now.
I’m having withdrawls.
Cheers anyway.
